Founder and Executive Director Glenn Yankowski has invested more than thirty years in recovery ministry. As a recovering addict and alcoholic, he started his ministry at North Atlanta Church of Christ in Dunwoody, GA, where he served for thirteen years. The following seventeen years of his recovery ministry were out of Campus Church of Christ located in Norcross, GA. He is an ex-Marine and Viet Nam Veteran with thirty years in management, buying, and sales in the automotive industry. Glenn celebrated thirty-seven years of sobriety in 2022 and continues to serve and love those who seek recovery.
Glenn's vision for ATB has always been to put into practice the vision of God's Spirit. Through all the years of leading addiction recovery ministries he has learned that the traits of love, acceptance and excellence in service are the keys to ATB's growth. Every day is a day to validate others who have either invalidated themselves or been cast aside by others as useless. In every move that we make we consider how that move will create space for personal recovery and growth as a human being that can be led into a successful life in our community.
Through the experience of war and personal struggles with alcoholism, Glenn has learned how to lead through conflict and teach others how to lead others out of harms way. In so doing, lessons learned in the corporate world of sales and marketing have shown that by delivering a full menu of services, developing mind, body and soul, with impact and validation of the individual receiving them brings forth the full potential of a recovering life.
